Nominate a Business Leader or Entrepreneur for Consideration

While nominations are accepted throughout the year the annual deadline is December 31st.

Nominations received by this date will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee and a short list created by early spring. The short list will be reviewed by our Judging Committee and Board of Directors for the final decision.

Nominee Criteria

Our Laureates exemplify growth, courage, success and leadership, in Nova Scotia, and beyond. Each class of Laureates will be inducted at a Gala Celebration to take place in annually.

The Nova Scotia Business Hall of Fame honours the outstanding lifetime achievements made to our province’s economic development and growth.

As entrepreneurs, leaders, and mentors, nominees have earned the respect of their peers for their integrity and sound business ethics.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Outstanding contribution to the success of a business

OR

  • Outstanding contribution to the success of a profession.

OR

  • Outstanding entrepreneurial achievement.

AND

  • Effective Leadership in business and community.

AND

  • Considered a role model for future generations.

NOTE: Posthumous nominations are also accepted. It is important that relative(s) are available to attend the Gala and accept the award on the Laureate’s behalf.
